An aggressive litigator who is surprisingly easy to talk to
Mike Farley is originally from Queens, New York. His family moved around and finally settled outside of Detroit, Michigan, in 1977. He graduated from law school in 1986 and took his first bar examination in Michigan, passing on his first attempt. Never a fan of the long, cold Michigan winters, Mike took the California bar exam in 1990 and passed on his first attempt. He relocated to California and arrived in Lake Tahoe on July 4, 1990.
For several years, Mike worked for insurance defense firms and developed the skills necessary to defend personal injury cases from some of the best lawyers in the region. After 20 years of defense work, he switched sides and started to represent people who, through now fault of their own, sustained life altering injuries.
Mike took the knowledge he acquired from defending personal injury cases, and now uses that understanding of defense practices in implementing case strategy for all of his clients who are injured as a result of:
1. Car accidents;
2. Slip and falls;
3. Dog attacks;
4. Elder abuse;
5. Trucking accidents;
6. Insurance bad faith;
7. Unlawful banking and business practices.
All of Mike’s work comes from personal referrals, which he believes is the highest form of praise. If a former client thinks so well of Mike, personally, that they recommend him to a friend or colleague, that’s complete job satisfaction. There’s nothing better than that.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys skiing with his grown kids as much as his schedule permits in the winter. He enjoys riding his gravel bike, and playing pickle ball or golf when he gets the afternoon off.
